Around 1998 it was reported that a number of camps for at-risk teens from the United States were operating on the Islands. 

Best known was Paradise Cove. It was run by the WWASP / Teen Revitalization network. It did close around 1998. The director moved on to be manager of Midwest Academy in Iowa. Two of his daughters did later become known in the entertainment industry as musicians.

Also Cartisano - best known for the transformation of the Wilderness Therapy industry into the concept, which is used all over wilderness programs today - has been known to work in relationship with behavior modification programs in this country.
