Åmarken is a group home, which is located in Hvidovre in Denmark.
It has not been licensed yet, but authorities in several cities have already placed teenagers at the facility, which is run by the same concept as Lillvangsgaard. They share the same founder.
In the news
July 6 it was revealed that some cities uses this facility while it has not been licensed yet .
In order to achieve license each facility has to state their values as they apply for license. Another facility complained about Åmarken copying their statement of value complete with typos in their application .
The facility claims that a license is not needed because they only rent a room to the youth with a counselor The similar approach is also seen in the states where Hidden Lake Academy managed to avoid demand for a license for more than 10 years.
