Morning Star Boys' Ranch is a behavior modification facility located on Glenrose Prairie, near Spokane, Washington [1].

The program detains boy aged between 14 and 17.

It was founded in 1957.

Program structure

They offer two kind of residential programs. The length and nature of the programs are not stated on their homepage.

In the news

In 2002 they expanded by opening a group home called St. John Bosco House [2]. Boys detained at this facility are granted work furloughs, so they can attend the local high school.

In 2005, allogations of sexual abuse was raised against Rev. Joseph Weitensteiner, who choose to resign from the facility [3] [4].

In 2010 the trial was pending with testifies from both sides [5]
