Palmer Drug Abuse Program was started in 1971. It was at that program Bob Meehan, who is the father of Intervention became sober [1].

The program was founded by Father Charles Wyatt-Brown, the rector of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas.

Today they have offices spread out through Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

As it is the case with most other programs influenced by Bob Meehan the program is under suspision of being a behavior modification program.

Program structure

The program consist of the use of their own version of the 12-step program.

They also have outings and certain so-called retreats there the teenager are subjected to a more intense treatment.
